Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is committed to providing equitable opportunities to students. The Office of Accountability began developing an Equity Scorecard report after the 2017-18 school year. An initial report was provided to the Prince William County School Board. After the 2018-19 school year, the first full Equity Scorecard report was presented at a public School Board meeting. All of the data from that presentation, along with a great deal of additional data, are now available on this website. The Equity Scorecard presents PWCS data in a variety of areas using an equity lens. Data will be updated each fall with the previous school year’s data.

The Equity Scorecard Presentation to the School Board can be found here:

The data are grouped into the following topic areas:

  • Student and Staff Demographics
  • Assessment
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Program Participation
  • Learning Climate

In each area, multiple data charts are presented. Data are most often disaggregated by race/ethnicity, English learner status, disability status, economic status, plus sometimes gender. In addition, some comparisons are made at the school level and compare Title I and non-Title I schools.

The data presented are at the division level. Additional information about performance at the school level can be found in the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) School Quality Profiles as well as the PWCS School Data Profiles (including data about facilities and teacher quality).
