Welcome to the START page for Buckland Mills Elementary School.

My name is Kelcie Conroy and I am currently the START teacher.  This is my second year at Buckland Mills ES.  I work with identified gifted students in grades K-3.  I also go into each K-2 classroom once a quarter for creative and critical thinking whole class lessons.  I collaborate with classroom teachers to provide enrichment and extension for all students.

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved here after earning my undergraduate degree from Grove City College.  I taught 4th grade at Swans Creek ES for 8 years and then became the K-5 Gifted Resource at that school for the next 6 years.  In my time at Swans Creek, I earned my Master's Degree from Old Dominion University.  I now work with Buckland Mills and Vaughan ES in PWCS as well as providing program support for the central Gifted Department.

My husband is also a PWCS employee and proud principal.  We have three young boys:  7, 5, and 2.  They keep us busy and entertained!

When I am not teaching, I spend my time with my family, reading, crocheting, cooking, and being outside.  I am looking forward to navigating this unique year with you!
