Letter from Mrs. Harrison:
Dear Wildcat Families,
I am honored to begin my fourth year as the Assistant Principal at Buckland Mills Elementary! As we embark on another exciting school year, I look forward to deepening our partnership with families and working together to ensure every student thrives.
This year marks my 19th year in education. My journey began in Maryland, where I taught both 1st and 4th grades for nine years. After relocating to Virginia, I continued teaching 4th grade for six years in Prince William County Public Schools. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College.
At Buckland Mills, we are guided by our mission of “Every minute counts, every child matters, everyone succeeds.” I am proud to work alongside our dedicated staff to bring this mission to life each day—through meaningful instruction, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Throughout the year, I look forward to visiting classrooms, celebrating student growth, and collaborating with families and community members. Your support is essential, and I am excited to partner with you to provide a World-Class Education for every child who walks through our doors.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I look forward to an amazing school year!
Yours in education,
Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison
Letter from Mr. Hoffa:
Howdy BMES Families,
I am excited to begin my second year as the Assistant Principal at Buckland Mills ES! It’s a privilege to continue serving such an involved community, and I look forward to deepening the connections we’ve built and celebrating new successes together.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students, educators, and families. My journey began in PWCS as a classroom teacher at Occoquan Elementary. Since then, I’ve served in administrative roles at Glenkirk ES, Mary Williams ES, and Covington-Harper ES.
Each day, I strive to be approachable, dependable, encouraging, and collaborative. I remain committed to fostering a school culture that promotes respect, academic excellence, and well-being for all. Together, we can ensure that every student receives the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Remember: "Every minute counts, every child matters, and everyone succeeds."
Please feel free to reach out with any questions, ideas, or feedback. Your voice is essential in helping us create a school where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired.
Thank you for being such a vital part of the Wildcat family. I’m looking forward to another meaningful and impactful school year with all of you.
Mr. Nathaniel Hoffa
