8:20 Superintendent’s Advisory Council Update Representatives this year: Mrs. Hart Mrs. Gutermuth · Best practices on Principals Advisory Council. All schools do this differently. · Break out groups focused on a variety of topics. Our parents were interested in Family engagement. Take-away- when communicating to parents be specific about engagement needed. · Mrs. Stroud discussed possibly changing time of PAC to be straight after PTO meetings to increase parent involvement. Could also change PAC to quarterly meeting thereby, creating more full agendas and using the time of representatives more efficiently.


8:23 PAC Work Session · PTO discussed summer camps and how to advertise. · Principal Stroud on how concerns about Coronavirus have been addressed. · Proactive, deep cleaning by custodians when school was closed yesterday in light of Coronavirus. · Budget process: 686 students projected for next year however, this number is usually lower than actual numbers. Rough estimate of class sizes provided. How Kindergarten ratio works with student numbers/teachers/teacher assistant. · Teacher intent for next year, staff movement, and new hires · How Boosterthon money will be spent for playground equipment and process for this taking place. Focus to include the needs of our special education students. Also, addition, to our sensory room and another mural outside. · Next year we will need to put money toward refurbishing technology. Move in county to eventually become 1:1 with all students having a laptop. · Parent question about whether administration has been given any information regarding how county will be helping parents to organize last minute daycare in case schools are closed due to Coronavirus and how learning will continue. Mrs. Stroud informed parents that she is attending a meeting tomorrow at the KLC for updates regarding this topic and will keep community updated as directed by the county.
