Student Ambassadorsrepresent our school positively and help build community within our school. Some roles as a student ambassador at Buckland Millsinclude meetings during school hours, school events (optional), providing support to new students and younger peers, assisting with fundraising events and book fair, assisting with peer mediations, and promoting kindness school wide.
At the beginning of each school year, 4th and 5th grades students can write an application and two students per class are chosen by a panel of staff members.
No Place for Hate
We’re excited that our school is part of the No Place for Hate initiative! Our student-led committee works to promote kindness, inclusion, and respect for all. Through activities and discussions, we’re helping students stand up against bullying and bias, and build a school community where everyone feels safe and valued.

BMES Chess Club welcomes learners of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced players. Club members will build their chess skills through mini-lessons, strategy practice, puzzles and friendly matches while developing critical thinking, problem-solving and sportsmanship.

Art Club is a group of motivated, adventurous, inventive, creative students interested in doing extra activities to further explore their expression in Art and is open to all 5th graders. Art Club will meet on Friday mornings at 8:00 am.
There will be 2 art club sessions, each 6 weeks long, your student can only attend one of them:
o Fall session: October 9 - November 20 (6 weeks) o Spring session: January 5 - February 26 (6 weeks)
The BMES Chorus is open to all 4th and 5th grade learners who enjoy singing and would like to expand their musical skills beyond the regular music classroom. Chorus members rehearse more challenging music, collaborate with fellow singers and perform in the winter concert.

Concludes with the Winter Concert on December 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Chorus is a fall semester activity only and ends after the December concert

K-5 Graphic Novel Book Club hosted by Mrs. Hinkle in the libray on monthly at 8:15 starting October 19th. The club will meet on the following dates: 10/19/26, 11/16/26, 12/7/26. 1/11/27 2/22/27.
