Dear Wildcat Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Buckland Mills Elementary School! I am excited to welcome both new and returning families as we begin another year of learning, growth, and success.
I am honored to be starting my fifth year as Assistant Principal at Buckland Mills and my 20th year in education. Prior to joining Buckland Mills, I taught 1st and 4th grades in Maryland and 4th grade in Prince William County. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College.
At Buckland Mills, our mission is simple: "Every minute counts, every child matters, everyone succeeds." I am proud to work alongside a dedicated staff committed to providing high-quality instruction, building meaningful relationships, and helping every student reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, Tucker. I am also a proud mom of three daughters who will be in middle school, high school, and college this year. Being both a parent and educator has reinforced my belief that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success.
Here at Buckland Mills, we value family involvement and encourage you to stay connected through our many school events and activities throughout the year. By working together, we can ensure every Wildcat thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

Howdy y'all,
I am excited to welcome you to another wonderful school year at Buckland Mills Elementary School! As I begin my third year as Assistant Principal, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving such an incredible community. The strong partnerships among our students, families, and staff make Buckland Mills a truly special place, and I look forward to building on those connections throughout the year.
My educational journey in Prince William County Schools began as a classroom teacher at Occoquan Elementary School. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving in leadership roles at Glenkirk Elementary, Mary Williams Elementary, Covington-Harper Elementary, and now Buckland Mills. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child can succeed when supported by caring adults who work together.
At BMES, I strive to be approachable, supportive, and collaborative. My goal is to help create a school environment where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of respect, academic excellence, and belonging while ensuring that all students have the opportunities and support they need to reach their full potential.
I encourage you to stay connected and involved throughout the year. Your ideas, questions, and feedback are always welcome, and your partnership plays an important role in creating the best possible experience for our students.
